Welcome to Maratime Knitting Cruises
We travel the world to exciting destinations with yarn enthusiasts, knitters, crocheters, weavers, quilters, and fiber arts enthusiasts. We bring designers, instructors, store owners, and manufacturers together to craft the ultimate cruise experience for our clients.
About Us
-
We have a formula that has been successfully bringing people together for a purpose. Men and women from all walks of life, and various countries come together that share a common interest. From 16 to 99 years of age, we knit, crochet, weave, needlepoint, quilt, and spin (anything fiber arts) together, have fun, share exclusive cultural and social experiences, and enjoy each other’s company. We offer worldwide trips anywhere from five to twenty nights by cruise ships, trains, planes, and buses.
-
We have a yarn shop, instructor, and/or designer on most of our cruises. We provide all that is needed in advance so that you know what you can expect on your cruise. Most of our projects are done on the days at sea so no one misses out on the ports of call. Evenings are typically spent dining with new and old friends and either doing more knitting around the ship or going to see the award-winning entertainment at sea. The choice is all yours!
-
We offer several cruises throughout the year, typically arranged up to three years in advance so that you can plan ahead. We provide something for everyone, even non-knitter companions. From beginners to master knitters, most of our trips are project-based so that our participants get to have something to remember their experience by. For solo travelers, we offer the ability to match you up with other solo travelers (when available) as well or to let you enjoy your own solitude. We have many opportunities to join others for social events, dining, classes, and tours so you will never feel alone. We are truly a family - In fact, many of our knitters are on “auto-renewal” for future cruises.
